The Ayelet Ha’Shahar Youth Village for Girls gives girls from development towns throughout Israel — both immigrants and native-born Israelis — an environment that helps build their self-confidence and integrate them into a social system and society as a whole. All the girls studying at Ayelet Ha’Shahar have a high learning potential; many are from disadvantaged backgrounds or have very difficult family situations. Ayelet Ha’Shahar has a student population of 80.
The educational staff at Ayelet Ha'Shahar is experienced and devoted. It includes counselors, teachers, and social workers, all of whom are very attentive to the girls’ individual personalities, personal needs, and educational needs. Most students graduate high school with a full matriculation certificate, majoring in fields such as communication, science, the arts, economics, and others.
The Ayelet Ha'Shahar Youth Village for Girls is located on Moshav Yonatan. The members of the community provide the girls with a warm, supportive environment, hosting them on Shabbat and holidays, and serving as a positive family models.
After graduation, some girls serve in the army and some participate in national service programs. No matter what path they choose, the girls keep in touch with the community and the Village staff.
